Educators, science writers, and evidence based practitioners express to students, administrators, readers, clients, and patients the importance of critical thinking.

Yet many of those expressing the importance of critical thinking don’t have a firm grip on rationality or critical thinking, or what it includes.

Rationality is concerned with what is true and what to do (Manktelow 2004).

In order for beliefs to be rational they must be in agreement with evidence.
